Iqra is a special character, community centre located in the Mosque compound in Claudelands, Hamilton. The Centre follows Islamic values as part of its practices. We focus on and support whanau to encourage the learning and development of our tamariki.
Our team is seeking a professional, experienced, qualified and registered ECE kaiako with practising certificate to join our teaching team. The successful candidate will need to grow an understanding of our philosophy and demonstrate respectful care and practice in our ethnically diverse setting. You will need to always represent Iqra Educare (under the umbrella of Waikato Muslim Association) in a positive way. A commitment to professional growth is essential, and facilitating positive outcomes for tamariki is a must. You will be expected to have a sound knowledge of meaningful planning and assessment practices and the ability to identify children’s unique strengths, interests and developmental stages. You will need comprehensive administrative skills to support the team in documenting and communicating the program. Valuing the environment as the third teacher, and maintaining it with initiative and flare is expected at all times. Great whanau focus, with the ability to build productive relationships with colleagues and whanau along with a kind and caring manner and a ‘can do’ attitude will be advantageous. Nau mai Haere Mai
