Waikato Muslims will celebrate Eid ul Fitr on Friday 14 May after completing the thirtieth fast of the month of Ramadan on Thursday.
The Hilal (crescent moon sighting) Committee of FIANZ earlier confirmed that the new moon for Shawwal was not sighted today.
Registrations for Sessions 1 and 2 of Salat Eid ul Fitr (prayers to mark the end of Ramadan) are still open here.
The two sessions will be at 7.30am and 9.00am on Friday 14 May. The venue will be the Waikato Indian Association Hall at Building 3, 26 Charlies Way, Frankton (off Higgins Road).
