The Hamilton Masjid at 921 Heaphy Terrace, Claudelands, Hamilton remains closed as COVID-19 Alert Level 3 is extended until 11:59pm on Wednesday, 27 October 2021.

"We need 90% of eligible New Zealanders to be fully vaccinated to move away from alert levels to the COVID-19 Protection Framework announced today," said Asad Mohsin.
The COVID-19 Protection Framework introduces a new flexible three-level approach to managing COVID-19 in the community. Places of worship may legally choose to implement a vaccination entry requirement for worshippers.
If a place of worship does not wish to request proof of vaccine, they will have to operate with strict limits on capacity and space requirements. They may need to close in Orange and/or Red levels.
